The champion shared his menu from the times when he held the title of the world’s top bodybuilder.

A very important part of building a body is nutrition. How do those who ascend to the winner’s podium eat? This is what our article is dedicated to.

Legend and idol

Ronnie Coleman is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time, having won the coveted Mr. Olympia title for eight years in a row, besting even Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.

However, the modest hero always considered his victories to be the merit of the entire team that surrounded him.

“I tell people all the time that the reason I was successful in bodybuilding was because I was surrounded by great trainers and nutritionists,” Coleman said. “I think it was my desire to learn that helped me.”

Remember the menu

In a new video on his channel, Ronnie talks about how he ate when preparing for professional bodybuilding competitions, including Mr. Olympia.

Start your day with half a cup of cereal and two cups of egg whites. Coleman explains that when preparing for competitions, the egg whites are replaced by a protein shake, but otherwise, “every meal is pretty much the same.”

Then comes chicken and baked potatoes or rice and beans: in other words, jock staples. The video also shows Coleman consuming large amounts of sports nutrition supplements.

“The main ones, in my opinion, are multivitamins, amino acids (BCAAs) and whey protein isolate. Isolate has fewer calories and is easier to digest. Of course, there are others, but these, in my opinion, are an absolute “must have”. Regular food is also important; you cannot rely on supplements alone. You have to pay serious attention to both.”
