This unusu­al diet was invent­ed by Tra­cy Ander­son, a fit­ness train­er for Hol­ly­wood stars (she worked with Madon­na and Jen­nifer Lopez). After preg­nan­cy, Tra­cy gained 20 kilo­grams and decid­ed that the eas­i­est way to get rid of them was to eat baby food — because it does not con­tain salt, sug­ar or harm­ful fla­vor­ing addi­tives.

What are the benefits of a baby food diet?

How to lose weight on baby food?

But it is worth not­ing that replac­ing meals with baby food can lead to nutri­tion­al imbal­ance and very few calo­ries. And since pro­tein, fiber, and chew­ing help you feel full, you may find your stom­ach growl­ing after that next jar of broc­coli puree.

If you want to achieve sus­tain­able weight loss and stay healthy, your meal plan should help you make healthy food choic­es. The baby food diet fails to meet both of these require­ments.
