Every international fixture Southampton players will be involved in and how to watch

Southamp­ton will not kick a ball in the Cham­pi­onship till the end of March with a two-week inter­na­tion­al break dis­rupt­ing play.

Southamp­ton go into the break with a lot of work to do if they are to win auto­mat­ic pro­mo­tion. The Saints are nine points behind sec­ond-place Leices­ter City but they do have two games in hand.

A num­ber of Rus­sell Martin’s men have already left St Mary’s to meet up with their nation­al sides.

Southamp­ton FC News have dived into all of the inter­na­tion­al fix­tures which will involve Southamp­ton play­ers over the next week or so.

Jan Bednarek Poland schedule

Jan Bednarek has had an excel­lent sea­son with Southamp­ton and has now met up with his nation­al side this week.

Poland fin­ished third in their Euro 2024 qual­i­fy­ing group behind the Czech Repub­lic and Alba­nia which means they face Esto­nia in a qual­i­fy­ing match on Thurs­day night.

It is a huge game for Bednarek and his nation as they aim to qual­i­fy for Euro 2024.

Stuart Armstrong and Che Adams Scotland schedule

Stu­art Arm­strong has played an inte­gral role in Southampton’s charge for pro­mo­tion and the 31-year-old is a reg­u­lar fix­ture for his coun­try too.

The ener­getic mid­field­er, who plays along­side Che Adams for the Saints, also plays with the strik­er for his coun­try.

Adams has formed a lethal part­ner­ship with for­ward Adam Arm­strong, scor­ing 12 goals this sea­son.

The pair will join up with their coun­try for friend­ly match­es against The Nether­lands and North­ern Ire­land.

David Brooks Wales schedule

Along­side Joe Roth­well, David Brooks has become an inspired loan sign­ing from Pre­mier League side Bournemouth.

The fleet-foot­ed winger has scored twice and assist­ed three goals in eight appear­ances since arriv­ing at St Mary’s in Jan­u­ary.

Many sup­port­ers would love to see him join the club per­ma­nent­ly, but for now, they will have to enjoy his per­for­mances while they can.

Shea Charles Northern Ireland schedule

Shea Charles was Southampton’s mar­quee sign­ing from Man­ches­ter City in the sum­mer and the 20-year-old has played a spo­radic role in their assault towards pro­mo­tion.

The defen­sive mid­field­er, who can also play at cen­tre-back, has had to over­come a lot of com­pe­ti­tion in those areas to make 28 appear­ances under Mar­tin, 13 of which were in the start­ing XI.

Charles has been capped by his coun­try eight times and will like­ly fea­ture in their friend­ly match­es against Roma­nia and Scot­land.

Gavin Bazunu’s and Will Smallbone’s Republic of Ireland fixtures

Gavin Bazunu has estab­lished him­self as Southampton’s num­ber-one, mak­ing 10 clean sheets in 36 appear­ances this term.

For his coun­try, though, he is com­pet­ing with Liv­er­pool shot-stop­per Caoimhin Kelle­her for a spot in between the sticks.

As for Will Small­bone, the Saints acad­e­my grad­u­ate has been the dri­ving force behind their mid­field this term, scor­ing four and assist­ing three in 33 match­es.

The pair will hope to play their part in friend­ly match­es against Bel­gium and Switzer­land.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis England under-21 fixtures

Arriv­ing on loan from Man­ches­ter City in the sum­mer, Tay­lor Har­wood-Bel­lis has been a rev­e­la­tion at the back for the Saints and has recent­ly had to slot in at right-back due to Kyle Walk­er-Peters injury.

One of sev­er­al suc­cess­ful loa­nees this term, the 22-year-old will look to cap off his time at the Saints by win­ning pro­mo­tion to the Pre­mier League, as he did with Burn­ley last sea­son.

The form of Har­wood-Bel­lis has earned him anoth­er call-up for Eng­land under-21s duty.
