More than 5,000 participants and fans took part in the anniversary PARI Legkov Race

On Feb­ru­ary 23, 2024, in the city of Peresvet, Moscow region, the All-Russ­ian cross-coun­try ski­ing com­pe­ti­tion “Legkov Race PARI” was held for the tenth time. The event includ­ed a chil­dren’s ski race “Legkova|SberKids Race” at dis­tances from 1 to 5 km, a 20 km com­pe­ti­tion among pro­fes­sion­al ath­letes, as well as ski races for ama­teurs at dis­tances of 10 km and 20 km.

The first com­pe­ti­tion day was opened by young ski­ing enthu­si­asts: par­tic­i­pants aged 4 to 10 years old took part in a 1 km race, skiers from 11 to 12 years old com­pet­ed at a dis­tance of 3 km, and the old­est — from 13 to 16 years old — tried their strength in the 5 km race. A lit­tle lat­er, pro­fes­sion­al ath­letes joined the novice skiers. They cov­ered a dis­tance of 20 km. The win­ner of the race among men was Alexan­der Bol­shunov, and among women Veroni­ka Stepano­va was the first to reach the fin­ish line.

The com­ple­tion of the sports part on the first day of the com­pe­ti­tion was cross-coun­try ski­ing for ama­teurs. They com­pet­ed at dis­tances of 10 km and 20 km. Artem Barkov took first place among men in the 10 km com­pe­ti­tion, and Maria Likhache­va among women. In the 20 km race among men, Andrey Kuznetsov was the first to fin­ish, and among women, the vic­to­ry went to Rada Tarasenko.

In addi­tion, all guests of the event enjoyed a rich enter­tain­ment pro­gram. For chil­dren, the orga­niz­ers pre­pared a warm area with activ­i­ties, and all guests and par­tic­i­pants were treat­ed to a small con­cert pro­gram and a DJ set through­out the fes­ti­val. More­over, this year, as part of the fes­ti­val, for the first time, one could see more than 30 Olympic medals on one site, get an auto­graph from famous ath­letes, take part in sweep­stakes from part­ners and cheer for the par­tic­i­pants in the fan zone.
