The last draw for the 2nd final of the Champions League took place in the usual format.
The final draw for the playoffs of the Champions League and Europa League in the classical format took place at the UEFA headquarters. Next year everything will be different. The last time 16 teams were distributed with three conditions:
- Teams from the same group cannot play against each other;
- The group winners cannot meet each other in the ⅛ finals;
- Teams from the same association will not be able to play each other in the first round of the playoffs.

When will the first matches take place?
The first couples will play on February 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2024. The return matches will take place on March 4,6,12,13. The Champions League final will take place on 1 June 2024 at London’s Wembley Stadium.
How will the draw take place in the new format?

- At the draw stage, the group selection system was canceled: all teams will play 8 matches according to the Swiss system. Thus, UEFA decided to eliminate duplicate matches.
- The schedule will be formed as the tournament progresses: the opponent will be selected based on the available results: instead of 96 games, 144 matches will be played.
