On March 2–3, 2019, in Moscow, at Crocus Expo, the Open International Festival of Sports Dance “Dance Stories — 2019” was held for the 7th time.

The competition is held by the Russian Dance Union, under the auspices of the World Dance Council and with the support of the Moscow Federation of Sports Dance.

“We always expect beauty of performance and high-quality performance from our participants, because dance is not just a technique of movements, dance has its own language, emotions, history,” says the host of the evening sections, Stanislav Grigorievich Povov, President of the Russian Dance Union.

The open International regional tournament in sports ballroom dancing “Dance Stories — 2019” offered a wide selection of disciplines, including the European program and Latin American dances. Dancers competed in professional and amateur categories, creating an impressive mosaic of the tournament. The festival participants, more than 500 of them, not only demonstrated a high level of technical skill, but also gave the audience a real kaleidoscope of emotions. Each dance told its own unique story, capturing the imagination and transporting us into a world of harmonious movement.

The guest of honor at the Open International Sports Dance Festival “Dance Stories — 2019” was Alexey Gennadievich Belyaev, honorary vice-president of the Russian Dance Union. He headed the judicial commission. And the stars of the evening were William Pino and Alessandra Bucheareli with their demonstrative performance of the paso doble. Emil Slabodnik and Sofia Yudina also shone in the evening section with a show program.

Separately, we can note the training program that preceded the Open International Festival of Sports Dance “Dance Stories — 2019”. Rehearsal work with couples on February 28 and March 1 at the Training Camp was carried out by Igor Kraus and Dekatra Lapaeva.

Thus, the Open International Festival of Sports Dance “Dance Stories — 2019” has become a platform for real stars of sports dance. Winners in various categories were announced amid intense competition. Their names have become new stars in the world of sports dance, and prizes and well-deserved awards are a sign of their work and dedication to the art.
