Dance legend

On October 13–14, 2018, there was an exciting event in the world of dance — the Open All-Russian stage of the RTS Cup “Dance Legend”. The tournament, organized by the Russian Dance Union with the assistance of the Moscow Dance Sports Federation, attracted the attention of the dance community and lovers of this art from all over the country.

More than 400 participants gathered at the Luch Sports Palace and took part in the Festival of Dance Schools and rating competitions in all age categories. The competition, held under the auspices of the World Dance Council and International Dance Union, provided participants with a platform to showcase their skill and passion for dance.

The panel of judges was represented by specialists of the highest level, judges of the international and all-Russian categories, headed by the First Vice-President of the Russian Dance Union, President of the Interregional Public Organization “Moscow Federation of Sports Dance”, Founder of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Dance Sports of the Russian State University of Physical Culture and Technology (GTSOLIFK), Representative of the jury of the International RTS category — Mashkov Alexander Viktorovich.

“Dance Legend” is not just a tournament — it is a real dance event that unites professionals, amateurs and those who simply appreciate excellent performance. The day was filled with an atmosphere of competition, inspiration and incredible performances.

Cooperation with the World Dance Council and International Dance Union has given the Dance Legend tournament a global scale. Participants were able to take on the mantle of champions and compete on the dance floor in a difficult struggle for fame and recognition. Dance energy permeated every corner of the room as couples masterfully demonstrated their skills in various styles. From standard dances to Latin American rhythms, each performance was like a work of art, filled with grace and sophistication.

During the evening section of the tournament, the audience was presented with a unique and exciting show performed by a pair of dancers — Emil Slabodnik and Sofia Yudina. Their performance was a continuous flow of emotion, technical skill and exquisite choreography. The rich experience and undeniable talent of the dancers were felt in this exciting number. Sophia’s dance career includes performances in the USA, where she won the title of vice-champion of California and became the champion of the City Lights Ball in San Jose. The guest of honor and host of the evening section was the President of the Russian Dance Union Stanislav Popov.

The 2018 Dance Legend tournament created unforgettable memories and highlighted the importance of the art of dance in our culture. It was the day when passion became visible and the art of dance became an all-consuming whirlwind that united the hearts of all those present. The organizers promised not to slow down and to hold the next tournament just as brightly and emotionally.
